What if an artist who is no longer here could once again appear on an arena stage through cutting-edge technology? That idea is at the centre of Sidhu Moosewala’s upcoming ‘Signed To God’ Hologram World Tour, which will recreate elements of his live performances through holographic technology, original vocals and large-scale stage production.
The tour is scheduled to begin in Toronto in October 2026, with shows currently listed across Canada and the United States.
A Different Kind of Concert Experience
Unlike a conventional concert, ‘Signed To God’ will feature a holographic representation of Sidhu Moosewala performing alongside his recorded vocals. The official tour website describes a production combining 3D holographic visuals, cinematic elements, lighting and stage effects.
The result is designed to be more than a traditional tribute show. Instead of another artist performing his songs, the production uses technology to recreate the visual experience of Moosewala appearing on stage.
Toronto Opens the Tour
The first currently listed performance is scheduled for October 9, 2026, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The event was originally scheduled for October 8 before being rescheduled.
Other confirmed dates include:
- Toronto – October 9
- Vancouver – October 15
- Calgary – October 19
- Belmont Park, New York – October 23
- Oakland – November 6
Additional international dates are expected to be announced as the tour develops.
What Makes the Technology Different?
One of the most interesting aspects of the project is how the holographic performance has been created. Rolling Stone India reported that the production does not use AI to recreate Moosewala. Instead, the team worked with a body double, prosthetics, and detailed movement references to capture his appearance, gestures and stage mannerisms.
The production team also clarified that the technology being used is technically based on Pepper’s Ghost, a projection technique rather than a conventional 3D hologram. The visual setup has been designed to work across an arena while synchronising with lighting, sound and stage effects.
New Music Arrives Before the Tour
The hologram tour is also arriving alongside another posthumous release. On September 21, ‘Ghostface Killah’ was released on Moosewala’s official YouTube channel, becoming his 13th posthumous song. The Tribune reported that the 2.18-minute video crossed 12 lakh views and 3.3 lakh likes within four hours.
Why Fans Are Paying Attention
‘Signed To God’ brings together recorded music, holographic visuals and arena-scale production in a format rarely seen in Punjabi entertainment. For audiences familiar with Moosewala’s music, the shows offer a way to experience his recorded performances in a live concert setting without presenting another performer as his replacement.
As the tour begins in North America, its use of holographic technology also marks a new chapter in how recorded performances can be presented on major international stages.
